FEEDBACK

Although it was not coastal, the inland trip home over two days was very enjoyable.
The small farming towns have alot to see if you have the time to look around.
We had a good supply of Crayfish for us and others back home and we set off.

When we got to Hamilton, we had the first problem of the entire trip. What can be common in old Bedford gearboxes is the sliders that make up the linkages can stick and become missaligned. we drove into the BP service station and filled up the tanks, it was then we discovered that the gear stick was sloppy and the vehicle was stuck in reverse. Having experienced this roblem once before it took just me 10 minutes to remove the locking bolt, and manually ut the vehicle into first and manouver off the driveway. From there I realigned everything and we then 'Rested' for the night the the rest area on the Warracknabeal road after we looked around the shops.

The Warracknabeal roundabouts in town were set up to show both local agricultural displays and offered a christmas theme

There is much to see in history around the town, the old (Closed) railway station, the courthouse and many more.

One thing that got our attention was the Jail.

The small towns along the highway mainly exist these days for the contractors during grain harvesting season. Otherwise they would be ghost towns so if you see a shop in the middle of nowhere, or a country hotel, stop and say hi.

Minapro is about 20 minutes below Ouyen

Now closed, the local shop & post office are located at the hotel opposite
